Because He Lives!

Isaiah 52:13 – 53:12/Psalm 16/John 20:1-18

“Because He Lives – We Really Can Face Tomorrow ”

But Why?

This morning we sang a song “Because He Lives”. The chorus goes like this “Because He lives, I can face tomorrow, Because He lives, all fear is gone, because I know He holds the future and life is worth the living just because He lives!”

It is most assuredly true. But why?

The message of the New Testament – the followers who knew Jesus Christ personally during his life, ministry, in His death, and in His Resurrection is that finally in Jesus Christ alone the promises of God to Israel finally make sense… are only finally true…and only find their fulfillment in Jesus Christ and His Resurrection.
“For all the promises of God find their Yes in him. That is why it is through him that we utter our Amen to God for his glory.” (2Co 1:20)
