Escaping the Insanity Cycle is the first in a series of sermons relating to Recovery specifically or discipleship in general. The two cannot be separated because both are dependent on our union with Christ.

In particular the ability to let the “dead bury their dead” is dependent upon our proper understanding of the first assertion of the Apostle’s creed covered in Q/A 26 of the Heidelberg Catechism. When we trust God as both Almighty and as our Heavenly Father able to turn even the rejections and hatred of mankind to our blessing, we can be free to let the dead bury their dead and follow Jesus.
